The Six Main Resources
Total Battle has six primary resources that you'll use for building, training troops, and research:
Building Resources
- Wood - Used for most buildings and basic construction. Produced by Lumber Mills.
- Stone - Used for most buildings and basic construction. Produced by Quarries.
- Iron - Used for most buildings and basic construction. Produced by Mines.
Food
- Food - Constantly consumed by your troops. Larger armies need more food. Produced by Farms.
Important: Food consumption is ongoing. If you run out, you can not train new troops. Always maintain positive food production, if food production goes red your troop training costs will increase!
Currency Resources
- Silver - The common currency. Used for most purchases, training troops, and upgrades.
- Gold - Premium currency. Used for revivals, speedups, special items, and premium features. Can be purchased or earned through gameplay.
Special Resources
Tar
Tar is a special resource found at Wellsprings on the world map or from chests. It's used for crypt exploring.
Send your troops to Wellsprings to gather Tar.
Valor Points
Valor Points is earned by fighting - attacking monsters, exploring crypts, and battling other players. It's used for researching.
You can buy Valor from the shop or earn it through combat!
Resource Production Buildings
Build these in your city to produce resources passively:
- Farm → Food
- Mansions → Silver
- Lumber Mill → Wood
- Quarry → Stone
- Mine → Iron
Higher level buildings produce more resources. Build multiple of each type!
Gathering from the World Map
Resource tiles appear on the world map. Send troops to gather:
- Look for tiles matching the resource you need
- Higher level tiles contain more resources
- Troops with higher load capacity gather more per trip
- Gather from tiles close to your city to reduce travel time
Protecting Your Resources
- Warehouse - Protects a portion of your resources from attacks
- Peace Shields - Prevent attacks entirely while active unless you are attacked through a portal
Resource Tips for Beginners
- Keep Food production positive - always more farms than you think you need
- Upgrade resource buildings regularly
- Gather from the map while your troops are idle
- Join a clan - you will get a lot more chests with rss from joining a clan
- Complete daily quests for bonus resources
